All-Star Sensory & Motor Lab

Grant description

Our Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) program is seeking funding to create a sensory-motor lab filled with hands-on materials that will provide developmentally appropriate opportunities for children to build gross and fine-motor skills, body awareness, balance, coordination, strength, and sensory regulation. The lab will include sensory tools and movement equipment that encourage children to climb, crawl, balance, push, pull, jump, manipulate, and explore. These experiences will support children's physical development while also strengthening attention, self-regulation, problem-solving, communication, and readiness to participate in classroom learning. The sensory-motor lab will give them skills to thrive at school and beyond.
