3D Scanning Equipment
Richard Routh. Reaches: 35 engineering students at Decatur High School, plus automotive students
Grant description
This grant funds a two-scanner setup to let students turn physical parts into digital models for Fusion 360. Our 35 engineering students will use it to learn reverse-engineering and part design on a computer. We are also partnering with the automotive department. Students will scan dashboards, engine bays, and chassis rails. This lets them design custom vehicle accessories and map out precise mounting points to 3D print or fabricate their own custom repair parts. Your donation replaces basic hand tools with modern scanning technology, giving students real-world garage and engineering experience.
