Task Boxes and STEM Bins

Grant description

Building Independence will create reusable task boxes and STEM bins for students in McCarroll Middle School's Life Skills program. Hands-on activities will strengthen functional academics, fine-motor skills, problem solving, communication, following directions, and vocational readiness. Materials will be differentiated so students with varied needs can practice at an appropriate level while working toward greater independence. Progress will be measured by accuracy, task completion, time on task, and level of prompting. Durable materials will serve current and future students for years.
