Chomp, Create & Innovate: Cardboard Engineering in Action
Jami Petty, Michelle Foreman. Reaches: K-5 students at STEM Academy, in the Innovation and Engineering Labs
Grant description
The ChompSaw Cardboard Cutter will provide K–5 students at STEM with a hands-on tool to design, build, test, and improve their own creations. Used in our Innovation and Engineering Labs, students will use the ChompSaw to safely transform cardboard into prototypes, models, structures, and solutions to engineering challenges. This resource will strengthen students’ creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and perseverance while engaging them in the engineering design process. Students will move beyond simply learning about STEM concepts to designing, building, testing, and innovating like real engineers.
Campus: STEM Academy at Enis
