The Mini DBQ Project: Think, Source, Write!

Grant description

The Mini DBQ Project will strengthen DISD students’ writing, critical thinking, and reading comprehension through engaging, evidence-based writing activities. Students will analyze primary and secondary sources, develop clear claims, and support their ideas with relevant evidence and reasoning. These skills will transfer across the curriculum, reinforcing a consistent approach to writing in social studies, English, science, and other subjects. Grant funding will provide resources for frequent writing practice, helping students build confidence, improve academic achievement, and become stronger communicators prepared for college, careers, and beyond.
