Math MVPs: The Seat of Honor

Grant description

Math MVPs: The Seat of Honor will give students a reason to be proud of their effort in math—not just their grades. Each week, students who show perseverance, growth, kindness, or a willingness to tackle challenging problems will be named Math MVPs and earn the special honor of sitting on our classroom’s “MVP Couch.” A small bench and two side chairs and two side tables will create a special space that students can earn through their effort and positive choices. The space will remind students that success isn't about being the smartest or getting every answer right. It’s about showing up, trying your best, learning from mistakes, and not giving up. This project will create a classroom culture where every student has a chance to shine.
