Where Leadership Comes to Life: A 5th Grade Safari Experience

Grant description

Where Leadership Comes to Life What does it mean to be a leader? For 22 5th grade student leaders, we want to answer that question beyond the classroom! Funding this experience will allow our students to visit Giraffe Inn & Safari for a hands-on day of teamwork, communication, animal science, and responsibility. During their visit, students will rotate through interactive experiences, including becoming “Junior Zookeepers,” where they will help with animal enrichment. Students will learn that leadership means working together, asking questions, taking responsibility, and caring for others. They will return to Rann Elementary ready to share what they learned and put their leadership skills into action!
