Little Hands, Big Discoveries: Kindergarten Sensory Learning

Grant description

Mr. Fred Rogers famously stated, "Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood." Our kindergarten students discover so much about our world through their senses and hands-on classroom tools. At Young Elementary, our kindergarten teachers want to encourage this discovery through the use of sensory bins and tools to help our students learn. This grant would give access to more hands-on learning opportunities for each one of our 60+ students.
