Behind the Scenes: Building Connections in Decatur Theatre and the Community

Impact: All Theater students at DHS and all users of DHS Auditorium

This grant requests a wireless intercom communication system to support both high school theatre students, as well as DISD staff and community members who use our performance spaces for events such as convocations, assemblies, and end-of-year programs. The portable system will allow production teams to coordinate safely and efficiently, fostering innovation and problem-solving in real time. Students will become more engaged by practicing professional-level technical theatre, collaboration, and leadership skills that extend beyond the classroom.
