Impact: 5th Grade Eagle Leaders at Enis

This grant will fund a field trip for 5th grade Eagle Leaders at Enis Elementary to the Dallas Mavericks Leadership Day in Dec. 2025. The event offers a unique, real-world learning experience where students engage with professional athletes, coaches, and executives to explore leadership, teamwork, and perseverance. This immersive experience will inspire students to develop essential leadership skills and a growth mindset, directly enhancing their social-emotional learning. By participating in hands-on workshops, students will connect abstract classroom concepts like goal setting, problem-solving, and communication with real-world applications. The trip will foster collaboration, build confidence, and motivate students to pursue their academic and personal goals. Ultimately, this experience will deepen student engagement, spark innovation in their learning, and provide lasting lessons that will be applied in future academic endeavors, helping them develop into resilient, forward-thinking leaders both in and out of the classroom.  To celebrate their learning, students will have the opportunity to attend a Dallas Mavericks basketball game following the event.
