More Than Shelves: Spaces That Teach

Grant description

Kindergarten students learn best when they can move, explore, and work independently in spaces designed for them. The TEA or Texas Education Agency guidance recommends clearly defined learning areas, child-accessible materials, organized storage, and classroom layouts that support independence and maximize learning time. Spaces That Teach will provide low shelving and storage to create purposeful areas for reading, writing, math, science, and hands-on learning. These spaces will reduce classroom congestion, help students make independent choices, and create a flexible environment that supports meaningful learning all year long.
