Impact: Grades 9-12 students that are part of Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA)
Each year, our FCCLA chapter participates in leadership conferences, competitive events, and community service initiatives that help students build essential life and career skills. Unfortunately, we are unable to outfit our members in the encouraged FCCLA official uniforms — blazers, ties, and polos — due to limited funding. Securing grant support would allow us to provide professional attire that promotes unity, confidence, and a strong public image for our chapter.Need Statement: Our chapter currently participates in local, regional, state, and national FCCLA events. However, our students often attend these events without the standard uniform. The official FCCLA uniform is more than just clothing — it represents: Professionalism: Members present themselves with pride and credibility at events. Equity: Ensuring every member, regardless of financial status, has access to appropriate attire. School Representation: Uniforms create a cohesive and polished image for our chapter and our school community. Without uniforms, our students can feel underrepresented and less confident compared to other chapters. This impacts both their competition performance and their leadership experience.Sustainability Plan: The uniforms will be purchased as a long-term investment. Our chapter will implement a checkout and return system to reuse uniforms each year. We will also explore future funding through sponsorships, small fundraisers, and additional grants to maintain and expand our inventory.
